Treading Water ๐

Justification
The market is charging full price heading into a weekend loaded with geopolitical risk and a hawkish Fed signal. The trailing P/E (price-to-earnings ratio) sits at the 90.4th percentile of two decades of its own history โ the index has been more expensive only 9.6% of the time. The VIX (a gauge of expected market volatility) at 14.27 makes protective puts unusually cheap right now. Watch the 10-year Treasury yield at 4.66% โ if it pushes toward 4.75%, equity multiples face a direct headwind; consider adding put protection on SPY or rotating toward Consumer Staples and Financials, which both gained ground today.
Since the Last Issue
- RSI (momentum gauge) moved from the decisionEngine's stress-flagged 47.71 to a live reading of 58.16 โ momentum recovered intraday but remains below the 70 overbought threshold, leaving the valuation overhang as the dominant risk signal.
- Communication Services led sector rotation at +1.36% while Industrials lagged at -1.05%, a reversal from the prior issue's broad tech-led tape.
- AMZN surged +3.58% and AAPL +2.23% on the day, partially offsetting NVDA's -2.89% slide โ single-name dispersion is widening within mega-cap tech.
- Fear & Greed Index slipped from 58 (prior session) to 55 today, a modest cooling that still sits in Greed territory and does not yet signal capitulation.
