Stuck In The Middle โ๏ธ

Justification
The market is healing at the edges but the foundation still has cracks โ nine of eleven sectors are green, yet the tape is not yet clean enough to go unhedged. The forward P/E (price-to-earnings ratio using next year's estimates) has compressed to 20.1x, a genuine improvement, but the trailing P/E sits at the 89.6th percentile of its own 20-year history. The RSI (a momentum gauge) at 39.09 is climbing off oversold territory, while the 10-year Treasury yield has crept up 13 basis points in ten sessions to 4.71%, keeping the cost of capital elevated. Real Estate's +2.22% lead today is worth watching as a rate-sensitivity signal โ if yields stabilize this week, that sector rotation has legs worth owning with a put (downside insurance) underneath.
Since the Last Issue
- Decision flipped from 'Sell or Hedge Aggressively' to 'Buy and Hedge' as RSI (momentum gauge) recovered from the low-30s to 39.09 and the composite stress score eased to 0.354.
- Forward P/E compressed sharply to 20.1x from the 27.x readings that anchored last week's bearish posture โ the single biggest fundamental shift this cycle.
- Real Estate led all sectors at +2.22% and Materials added +1.93%, while Communication Services was the day's laggard at -3.50%, signaling a defensive-to-cyclical rotation underway.
- AAPL surged +3.53% and TSLA fell -2.08%, continuing the mega-cap divergence theme but with the balance now tilting toward recovery rather than wreckage.
